To save you time when creating a new database for a tournament or personal use, an import function for importing players (and team names) from both the WDF mens rankings (current points table) ,external Darts for Windows 2008 databases or BICC import file has been implemented.

To import players, goto the "Tools" menu,"Players" section and click on "Add new players" as shown in the picrure below

To start the import from an external DfW 2008 database, click on the "Open database" icon

Navigate to the folder where your databases are saved and click on the database with the players you want to import.

To exclude players from the import, just uncheck the player by singleclick the player name.

To save the players to your active database click on the "Save imported players to database...".

To import players from the WDF rankings, you must be connected to the internet.
Before the import, we have to download the players from the WDF's mens rankings.
To start the download, click on the button "Download players from WDF mens rankings".
This can take up to a couple of minutes depending on your internet connection speed.

While downloading, the button is disabled...

This is how it looks when all the players has been downloaded into the grid.

To import all the players, click on the button with the "tick" mark on to check all the checkboxes or simply manually check the players you want to import.
In the listing below, there are 662 players.

If you only want some of the players, you can filter the players by entering the first characters in their names until the pattern matches the player you are looking for. To turn off the filter, clear the text box or click on the button to the right of the filter textbox.

Ok, now click on the save button when you are ready. A progressbar will show the importstatus while saving the players.
